New Paragraph
Our underlying belief at CAY is that education should be bespoke. Talents and skills should be harnessed, developed and supported according to the young person. Education should fit the individual. Sourcing practical opportunities from local companies and businesses will embed the college and young people in the community in which they live; maximising employability and supporting lifelong learning .
Our young people may be leaving secondary school, or may be experiencing difficulty in their current post-16 setting. Educational experiences may not have been positive. CAY will offer entrepreneurial opportunities and skill-based learning for them. We will provide exciting and innovative pathways including literacy, digital and numeracy programmes, bespoke to each student, giving them the foundations which will underpin the rest of their lives.
CAY is the college for young students aged between 16-25 with an EHCP. We will work with them to prepare them for future employability and independent living within their community.
We offer:
We offer a range of ESOL qualifications from Entry Level to ESOL Skills for Life. We blend personalised learning with creativity and visual teaching methods to introduce the English language to our learners.
The Elective Home Education Hub has been created to support young students and their parents/carers providing English, Maths and other curriculum subjects in small groups as well as project-based skill learning.
It will provide a community for parents/carers to network and soicalise with each other, whilst dedicated teaching professionals are on hand to offer guidance and support.
Our curriculum-based programme is designed to prevent young people from disengaging from learning and provides the tools and support they need to ignite a passion for success and belief in their future potential.
Life Coaching for Teens - helping Teens navigate the challenges they face.
This coaching programme is available for non-CAY students. If your teen needs some guidance in their life from building up confidence to discussing future goals, life skills or career choices; even struggling with mental health and anxiety or just need a helping hand with transitions or relationships - life coaching could be the answer.
Please contact us to discuss how we can support them to forge their own pathway, preparing them for their future journey of life.
